As you are aware, last Friday our College was named by a number of on-air, online and print media outlets, in connection with the resignation of a former staff member. Unfortunately several of these outlets published or broadcast incorrect information suggesting that the staff member had resigned due to involvement with drugs. This allegation is categorically untrue.

Mission

The month of May is the ‘month that the piety of the faithful has especially dedicated to Our Blessed Lady’, and it is the occasion for a ‘moving tribute of faith and love that Catholics in every part of the world pay to the Queen of Heaven.

Curriculum

On 25 and 26 May, all Year 10 students will participate in a Course Information session and a Strengths and Careers session. A parent and daughter information evening will then be held on Wednesday 27 May. All of these events provide crucial information to enable students and their parents to make informed decisions for studies in Year 11.

Service in the Junior School The Mini Vinnies co-curricular group, under Ms Foster’s direction, have come up with some novel ideas for raising the awareness of the plight of those less fortunate in our society. Boarding

Last weekend provided a wonderful opportunity for Boarding to meet with families and friends at the North West Expo. It is no longer a surprise that our families at the Expo come from far and wide – the sunny north is a magnet for those from the cold south and consequently we did have enquiries about Boarding from all over the state – not just the North.

Notices for Parents

School Fees

Families who chose Option Two (payment of fees in three equal instalments) are reminded their second instalment is due and payable by 25 May 2015. Payments by cash, cheque or direct bank transfer are to be received by the Finance Office on or before the due date. Reminder Statements have been sent home this week.
